  During this week’s class we talked about different companies and were asked to analyze them and present a set of slides with videos and information about the enterprises. My team and I did a slide on montblanc’s company. This company is really interesting because they sell different products, and luxury men’s accessories. They have really good core values like: excellence and integrity and their mission is to create a high quality self-filling pen. They have really good advertising and their marketing strategy is good. During this week’s class we talked more in depth about marketing, which according to Philip Kotler who is considered and known as the father of marketing, marketing can be defined as the management of lasting relationships with the clients. The companies establish strong relationships with its clients, creating and obtaining their value. We talked about the model of marketing process. The first stage is understanding the market needs and wishes, like what would be good for the people, what would they want to buy, what do they need. What comes next is to develop the marketing strategy, how would to promote and sell your product. Then, elaborate a value proposition, and after that, create profitable and lasting relationships, having good relationships with you clients is really important. Why do you need to know your investor? It is always good to know the people you are dealing with, knowing what to expect from others, and it could maybe affect the way you treat them. Some points you should maybe consider knowing about them are: In what does she or he invest? Knowing what type of investors they are and what they are interested in what they like or don’t like about a product could be helpful when offering your ideas. How does he participate in his investment? Is he a good investor? Does he know how to negotiate? What are his hobbies, where does he come from, who are the members in his family, what sports do they practice, do they like football or soccer? Do they enjoy watching a good basketball game or do they prefer watching golf tournaments. Do you have mutual friends with them? What is negotiation you may ask? And why is it important? Negotiation is when you get to an agreement and it is important for when you want to get something from someone, and both parts could have a benefit from it. There could be a lot of people involved in a negotiation, it could go as easy as two people or a little more complicated when a lot of people is involved, like companies, where you have to listen to everyone’s opinion, but at the end it is only one representative who seeks for the company’s interests and tries to find a good for both parts. During this week’s classes we discussed about the analysis you make when your company requires changes and generating new strategies and skills, this is called a swot analysis. This analysis contains several aspects that should be considered before making big decisions and changes in your company’s organization. This considers 4 important aspects: internal, external, controllable and non-controllable factors. Swot analysis stands for: strength, weakness, opportunity and threats.
